Print Reading Program Labels

You can print reading program labels for new copies or copies of titles that have new or updated reading program information.

To print reading program labels:

  1. Select Reports > Library Reports.
  2. Under Labels, select Reading Program Labels.
  3. If you are running the report at the district level, use the For drop-down to select a school.
  4. From Reading Program, select the applicable reading program.
  5. Choose how you want to sort the labels from the Sort by drop-down.
Note: This is not available for Lexile labels.
  6. Use the Based on drop-down to define which books to create labels for.
  7. In the Copies Added section, enter a beginning date in the From field and an ending date in the To field. Adding the time is optional.
      • You can leave both fields blank to include labels for all copies in the program.
      • If you leave the From field blank and enter a date in the To field, the printing includes labels for all copies added or updated prior to the date in the To field.
      • If you enter a date in the From field and leave the To field blank, the printing includes labels for copies updated on that date and all those after it.
      • If you enter the date in both fields, the printing is limited to labels for copies added or updated on that date.
  1. In the Include section, select the applicable checkboxes to include additional information on the labels.

Important: If you select multiple checkboxes, you cannot print on the small labels. The small labels can only accommodate one extra line. Quiz Number appears on the large stock regardless of whether you select this checkbox.

  1. Use the Label size drop-down to select small or large labels. Select your label size and the starting label.

    Notes:

    • You can use either the SMALL label set - FSCFLR spine 48-up or LARGE label - FSC 28-up.
The SMALL label set includes two spine labels for each copy. The LARGE label set includes one label for each copy.
    • You will need to purchase the labels from Follett School Solutions, Inc.
    • If you are printing Lexile labels, you cannot select the LARGE label size.
  2. To start printing on a label other than the first one on the sheet, enter the number in the Start on label field.
  3. Use the Printer offset fields to fine-tune printing alignment on the labels.

    Notes:

    • The Horizontal and Vertical offsets let you adjust the left and top margins, respectively. Each increment is equal to 1/10th of a millimeter. Try printing on paper and if needed, adjust the offset by 10 and try to print again.
    • After positioning the label stock in your printer, use Adobe Reader's toolbar button or menu command to print the labels.
If you are printing the LARGE labels, make sure the arrows on the label stock are pointing to the correct side of the printer.
Do not deselect the Auto-rotate and Center checkbox on Adobe's Print pop-up. Make sure the orientation is Landscape.
  4. Click Run Report. Report Manager appears.
  5. To view the label report, click View.

To help you avoid printing labels that you already have, Your latest Reading Program Labels jobs, at the bottom of the page, lists the last five times you printed these labels and the parameters you selected.
