Update Digital Content (Resource Manager)
Use the Update Digital Content page to add documents or URLs to a resource description or item record.
Add up to five scanned documents, such as warranties or service contracts, to a resource description or item or media record.
You can associate any file type except .exe, of any size up to 500 MB.
To Add or Update Digital Content
| Note: You can get to the Update Digital Content page from various places. This topic details one of the many ways to update or add a document to a resource description or item or media record. | 
- Select Catalog > Resource Search.
- Search for a resource. When you find the resource you want, click Details.
- Do one of the following:If you want to add digital content to... Then... Resource description record - Select the Resource Details sub-tab.
- Click Update Digital. The Update Digital Content page appears.
 Item or media record - Select the Items or Media sub-tab.
- Find the resource you want.
- Click  . The Update Digital Content page appears. . The Update Digital Content page appears.
 
- Use the following table to complete your task:If you want to… Then… Add digital content - Click Add new. The Add Digital Content page appears.
- In the Digital Content Name field, type the identifier.
- Select Upload Digital Content or Resource URL from the drop-down.
- If uploading a document, click Browse (or Choose File, depending on your browser), and then navigate to the resource you want to attach to the resource/item.
- If adding a link, type the URL into the Resource URL field.
- If patrons can view the digital content, select Allow patron to view in My Info.
- Click Save. The Add Digital Content page appears.
 View a document or URL Click  . The file opens on a new tab. . The file opens on a new tab.Edit digital content - Click  . The Edit Media/Item page opens. . The Edit Media/Item page opens.
- Complete information as needed.
- Click Save.
 Delete digital content attached to an item/media - Click  . .
 - Click Yes on the confirmation message.
 
| Important: Digital content is stored in your FSC-Destiny\fsc\districtResources\ folder. If you automatically back up your SQL database, it does not include these documents. Follett recommends that you back up yourFSC-Destiny\fsc\districtResources\folder. |
